Sin embargo, la ciencia argentina vuelve a situarse en la vanguardia internacional gracias a la labor de <strong>Pilar Ferrer<\/strong>, una joven cient\u00edfica de 25 a\u00f1os que lidera el desarrollo de un biomaterial pionero: un <strong>hidrogel inyectable<\/strong> dise\u00f1ado para reparar el m\u00fasculo card\u00edaco afectado despu\u00e9s de un infarto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDespu\u00e9s de un infarto, el coraz\u00f3n no tiene capacidad de regenerarse. Lo que intentamos con estas terapias es disminuir ese da\u00f1o para evitar la insuficiencia card\u00edaca, que es cuando el coraz\u00f3n no puede funcionar m\u00e1s y se necesita un trasplante\u201d, explic\u00f3 Ferrer durante su participaci\u00f3n en <em>Otro d\u00eda perdido<\/em>, el ciclo nocturno conducido por Mario Pergolini en El Trece.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ciencia argentina de alto impacto<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La investigaci\u00f3n, gestada en los laboratorios de la <strong>Universidad Favaloro<\/strong>, se enfoca en crear una matriz tridimensional biocompatible. Este biomaterial se aplica en la zona infartada para actuar como un \u00abandamio\u00bb o soporte celular que previene el remodelado adverso del ventr\u00edculo, preservando la funci\u00f3n motora del \u00f3rgano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los avances de la investigaci\u00f3n reflejan un ritmo prometedor:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Fase 1 (In vitro):<\/strong> Los ensayos realizados en cultivos celulares mostraron resultados altamente alentadores en la viabilidad y protecci\u00f3n del tejido.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fase 2 (In vivo):<\/strong> Actualmente, el proyecto avanza en ensayos con modelos animales para evaluar la efectividad y seguridad del hidrogel en sistemas biol\u00f3gicos complejos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Vocaci\u00f3n, biotecnolog\u00eda y futuro<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La vocaci\u00f3n de Ferrer se gest\u00f3 tempranamente por el inter\u00e9s en la complejidad biolog\u00eda humana. Seg\u00fan relat\u00f3 la propia investigadora, eligi\u00f3 la carrera de Biotecnolog\u00eda impulsada por la fascinaci\u00f3n de \u00abentender c\u00f3mo funciona el cuerpo humano\u00bb.
